Creating a Lead Capture Page

To Create a Lead Capture Page that is eye catching and effective is the goal of every person or business with a product or service to sell online. Often referred to as ‘Squeeze Pages’, Lead Capture Pages do just what they say; they capture pertinent information from the viewer that then becomes a lead for future marketing.

Getting the page right can be tricky of you are new to internet marketing. So let’s take a look at what is important. Create a very attractive headline, it needs to get people’s attention. For example; Learn How To Become A Millionaire While You Sleep. Or, Become Thinner While You Sleep. Both examples would get most people a little curious and make them want to read a little more.

Then you need show who you are and why people should listen to you. Offer them proof as to why you are an authority in your field. One of the best ways to do this is by adding a video message to your page. Not only does this let people see who you really are, it shows them that you are sincere and will help improve your overall image with your audience.

Then you must give them a ’sneak preview’ of what they will get if they buy your product or ‘opt-in’ to find out more information. The preview should include a little of the information you want to sell them, just not so much that they don’t feel like they need to buy it. You may want to include a few questions that they can get the answer to - if they opt-in. For example, “What are the secrets that millionaires don’t want you to know?’ Or, ‘What is the one food that will melt your fat fast?’ These types of questions give the viewer information on what they will get without actually giving away any answers.

The next part is the most important on the page. Creating your “call to action” This is where you gather the information; make it clear what they will get if they add their details to the “opt in” box. Make sure you don’t ask for too much information as this can put people off in this day and age.

The minimum you will need is email address and first name of the contact. I would also recommend an “anti-spam” logo and privacy policy on the page to improve your credibility and trust.

Its important that you get the right kind of professional help with your lead capture page. You want your visitors to act quickly and unless you are proficient with this kind of marketing you need to get some help at least for the first time around.
